JAGA 2.0

GIVING STUDENTS A VOICE

At Tapas Progressive School, we believe that the spaces where children learn should reflect their aspirations, creativity, and needs. With this vision, we launched JAGA (meaning "awakening"), India's first Campus Redesign Hackathon for Children.

The Results Were
Extraordinary.

Children brought fresh, innovative perspectives that challenged conventional school designs and placed their unique needs at the heart of the process.

But we don't want to stop here. We envision making JAGA a global movement, empowering children from around the world to reimagine their learning spaces. To do this, we are creating a free digital toolkit for any educator to download, implement, and share insights back with us.

What's in the Toolkit?

Everything you need to host a campus redesign hackathon in your own school, completely free.

Facilitation Guide

A step-by-step handbook empowering educators to lead student discussions, provoke creative thinking, and manage the hackathon seamlessly.

Activity Templates

Printable and digital canvases designed to help students map out spaces, brainstorm layouts, and sketch their dream campuses.

Submission Framework

A standardized process to document and upload student ideas to our global platform, joining the worldwide movement.

The Master Plan

Our 5-step roadmap to make this project happen.

Step 01

Develop the Digital Toolkit

Create a structured, easy-to-use toolkit for educators. The content is designed to encourage student-led ideation and be adaptable across diverse school environments globally.

Step 02

Pilot in 10 Schools

Identify and onboard 10 diverse schools globally to test the toolkit. Educators will facilitate student-led campus redesign sessions, documenting ideas and feedback.

Step 03

Build the Digital Platform

Develop an interactive platform where educators can access the toolkit, submit student insights, and view ideas from other schools, fostering a global exchange.

Step 04

Refine and Scale

Use feedback from the pilot schools to refine the toolkit and platform in preparation for expanding the initiative to more schools worldwide.

Step 05

Amplify and Sustain

Promote JAGA globally through networks and partnerships. Establish a sustainable model where schools continue to use and contribute to the initiative.

Expected Outcomes

Measuring success to ensure long-term impact on student-driven design.

Student Voices

Students will feel valued as active contributors to their learning spaces.

Innovative Designs

Fresh ideas will inspire more student-centric school environments.

Global Collab

Schools worldwide will share insights and spark collective innovation.

Addressing Gaps

By listening to students, we bridge the gap between traditional designs and real needs.

The Future

Scalability

  • Open-Access Toolkit with Tiered Support
  • Institutional & Corporate Partnerships
  • Community-Driven Living Archive
  • Expanding to Hospitals & Public Spaces

Join us in making JAGA a sustainable global movement. We are looking for visionary partners, educators, and organizations to help us bring this toolkit to every school in the world.
